Question:
What brake control do you recommend for a 2010 Chevy Suburban. I'm pulling a tandem axle camper that weighs about 6000 lbs.

I would recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2, part # 90885. The P2 is very easy to install, easy to set-up, easy to use, and is very well rated by our customers.
The controller would wire to the existing tow package wiring under the dash. Look for a bundle of wires to the left of the top of the brake pedal. The tow package wiring will have a white tag wrapped around it, and will consist of a Red, Dark Blue, Light Blue or Orange, and a White wire. The plug included with the controller will wire directly into the tow package wiring, using wire nuts included with the controller. The red or red and black striped tow package wire connects to the black wire from the brake controller, the dark blue tow package wire will connect to the blue controller wire, the light blue or the orange wire will connect to the red brake controller wire and the white wires will connect together.
I've linked to our GM truck brake controller installation article, as well as to an installation video showing the same controller being installed in a 2011 Suburban. The procedure shown in the video would be identical to that of your 2010 model.
