The 20x60 Cargo Carrier, # e98874, will fit your 2004 Isuzu Ascender XL as long as it has a 2 inch by 2 inch receiver hitch. Also, make sure to measure from the center of the hitch pin hole to the furthest point at the rear of the vehicle. If it is less than 9-1/2 inches, this carrier will fit when folded up.

For a cargo bag, I recommend the etrailer Cargo Bag, # e98990. It is a great bag that will fit this carrier and it is weather proof.
