I have attached a couple of helpful articles about tires that you can check out. The article that is titled Trailer Tire Frequently Asked Questions explains the difference between trailer tires and those used on a vehicle. A trailer tire has tougher sidewalls due to the excessive weight they are made to carry. Typical reasons for tire failure are improper inflation, excessive speed, and overloading.

Normally, we recommend a good radial tire unless it is used for off-road applications like farm use. Radial tires will run cooler which means it will last longer.

I recommend a good radial tire like the Karrier ST235/85R16 Radial Trailer Tire, part # AM10501. This is a great tire that has a load range F rating and fits 16 x 6, 16 x 6-1/2, 16 x 7, and 16 x 7-1/2 inch wheels. It has also got a maximum weight capacity of 3,960 lbs at 110 psi. I have attached a link to a product review video for this tire.

Another good radial tire I recommend that has a bit less weight capacity is part # AM10295. This load range E tire will work with wheels the same size as I mentioned on the other tire and it has a weight capacity of 3,200 lbs at 95 psi. I have attached a product review for this tire as well.

If you are looking for tire/wheel combinations to put on your trailer, let me know and I will make some recommendations that will work for you. We would need to know the bolt pattern of the wheels you currently have to find a combo. I have attached a helpful article that explains how to measure the bolt pattern for your wheels.
