Recommended Weight Distribution Shank to Tow 10,000 Pound Trailer with 2010 GMC Sierra

Question:

Hello, I have a 5 1/2inch lift that was installed to my truck recently, and I tow a 10,000 lb holiday trailer with an equalization hitch. I am looking for a hitch that will help offset the lift, and carry the weight. I see that most of the specs on these products are stating that they are for pulling cars behind motor homes, but then state that these are not rated to pull trailers. Is this not the correct product for what I am looking for? Is there a different option? 2010 GMC Seirra 2500HD with a 5 1/2inch suspension lift.

According to your calculations, the difference between the receiver and coupler height is 5-1/2 inches inches, therefore a 7 inch drop shank with a 15,000 lbs weight capacity, like # C17121, should work well.

I have attached a video review of this shank and a FAQ article about choosing the correct ball mount and determining the correct rise/drop for you to check out.
