Turn Signal and Brake Light Circuits Not Working on Factory Installed 7-Way on 2012 Ford F-250

Question:

Hello I have a 2012 F-350 crew cab with factory 7 way trailer hook up. The problem that Im having is that I have power to connection 12v which is running lights, but no power to the left/right turn signals or brake lights, I have checked all fuses they seem to be fine?

Some vehicles use both fuses AND relays for the tow package wiring. You will need to check the vehicles owners manual for your 2012 Ford F-350 to find the locations of all fuses/relays related to the tow package wiring.

To check for a bad relay, the easiest thing to do is to use a known good relay in place of a possible bad one. If the function starts working then you know that was the problem. Relays could be obtained from an auto parts store or from your local Ford dealer.
