Reese M5 Fifth Wheel Hitch and Rail Kit Recommendation for a 2008 Ford Super Duty Long Bed
Question:
In reading your full answer section it looks like the RP30073 or 94-5640 will work with the M5 series hitches with no gooseneck

Expert Reply:
The # RP30073 that you referenced is an Elite series rail kit that is confirmed to fit your truck that will work with M5 hitches like the part # # RP30921.
For a gooseneck hitch to work with this system you would want the part # RP30845.
The Hide-A-Goose Underbed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch with Installation Kit # 9465-40 that you referenced is a gooseneck hitch designed to fit older Chevy trucks so it would definitely not work for an Elite fifth wheel hitch in your 2008 Ford truck.
