Best Brake Controller Recommendation for a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500
Question:
Hi, I just bought a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 WITHOUT the factory towing package. Can you advise the best controller to purchase and what Ill need to go with it to hook it up? Thanks

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup. As far as we are aware the 2014 Chevy Silverados all came with factory 7-ways at the rear of them.
Which in that case all you would need to install the brake controller would be the # 3016 harness. I attached an install video for these two products to the right for you to check out as well.
If you do not have a factory 7-way at the rear of your truck email me back with what trailer connectors (if any) are present there.
