Cant Find Connector Plug on my 2003 Chevrolet Venture to Install Trailer Wiring C55355

Question:

Hello, I followed all the steps in the video on how to install my hitch wiring kit. The problem, is that I can not find the T connector plug. I took off the entire plug, followed the wire from both ends, and cant find the plug whatsoever. All I have is wires. Do you know of any other locations the plug may be, or, how to install the wiring kit otherwise. I saw another question posted on here similar to mine, where an expert recommended looking behind the air conditioning panel, but I dont have any air conditioning panel in the back. All I have is wires... thats it! Thanks for the help.

Since the part # C55355 can fit a few different vehicles with differing setups you will need to check a few places to find the connector you need. First thing I would recommend is checking out the install video I attached to the right that shows this harness being installed on a 2003 Chevy Venture just like yours.

Also, some vehicles will only have one connector. Some of the vehicle options have another connector plugged in series with the taillight connector plug, and the second plug is intended to plug everything in-line.

Sometimes the connectors can also be out of plain sight and require some digging to get to them. You might check again where you have already looked and try looking behind the harnesses you found already.

Another place to look is under the van's rear end interior panels. Check out the installation instructions I attached to the right for more info. Figure three is what I am referring to.
