Troubleshooting a Fulton Outboard Motor Lock # FOML0127 That is Locked Up
Question:
I have used the lock on my outboard for many years. I just turned the key in the lock, and the two pieces still wont separate. They dont appear to be fused together, but even with some prying while the key is turned, the two pieces remained locked together. What can I do?

I spoke with my contact at Fulton and he informed me that while they have never heard of the issue you are describing with the Fulton Outboard Motor Lock # FOML0127 he said that the best solution would be for you to lubricate the locking pins as much as you can with a penetrating oil like WD40, let it soak, and it should free up and let you unlock it.
