Rhino Rack Fairing Recommendation for a 2014 Subaru Outback with Factory Bars
Question:
I want to add a fairing to my Subaru to help cut noise when the sunroof is open. I run Yakima front-loader bike rack on the factory cross bars. I am looking for a fairing that does not project too muchthere is about 5inch from the factory cross bar to the edge of the sunroof. Is there a fairing that will work?

The Rhino-Rack Fairing # RRRF2 that you referenced should work for you. It will extend about 4-1/2 inches in front of the crossbar so it should help deflect air while clearing your sun roof.
This fairing is confirmed to fit crossbars that are up to 1-1/4 inches tall and 3-1/2 inches wide.
However, any time you have roof rack accessories and an open sunroof you will get a lot of noise. This might help a little bit, but it won't make it totally silent.
