Are WeatherTech Mud Flaps # WT110011-120011 for 2009 GMC Sierra Usable on 2009 Silverado

Question:

I oredered a pair of WeatherTech Mud Flaps part number 120011 for the rear of my 2009 GMC Sierra. Before I could install them I got rid of the truck. I wanted to give them to my brother who has a 2009 Chev Silverado. I noticed on your website however the part number for the Silverado is 120010. Can you tell me if there is actually any difference between the 120011 and the 120010. Everything else is pretty much the same between the 2 trucks. Thanks

First, thank you for your many purchases from etrailer.com. We appreciate your continued business.

Although the two trucks you referenced, your former 2009 Sierra and your brother's 2009 Silverado, are essentially the same truck underneath, there are differences in the body and trim components. The 4-piece set of WeatherTech Mud Flaps you referenced, part # WT110011-120011, uses a different arrangement of fasteners to attach to the Sierra than the set from WeatherTech that fits the Silverado.

The set of rear flaps for the Sierra uses two steel fasteners per flap, while the equivalent rear flaps for the Silverado use one. The part for the Silverado, # WT110010-120010, can be seen on the link provided at right. If you compare the two products in the photo you'll see the difference in the fasteners and also in the shape. Although this difference is not very pronounced, as you compare the two you'll see that they are not identical. This is why they are not transferable between the two vehicles.
