Availability of Roof Rack For 2011 Audio RS5 Coupe 2011 with Sunroof  

Question:

Hi, I have recently bought the above car and am looking at Thule roof bars but have been told there may be a problem with these due to the sunroof? Do you know if they can still be used or do i need another option? Many thanks

I spoke with my contact at Thule and he said if your 2014 Audi RS5 has a bare roof, Thule does not recommend installing a roof rack on vehicles equipped with the glass roof.

I also spoke with my contact at Rhino-Rack and he said they have no prohibition against using their roof racks with sunroofs. I recommend the Rhino-Rack Vortex Roof Rack system, which includes the Vortex Aero Crossbars, # RRVA126B-2, the 2500 Series Leg Kit, # RRRLKVA, and Custom DK Clamps and Pads, # DK312. This is a popular rack that is sturdy and easy to install.
