Carrying a Spare Tire on the Roof of a 2002 Subaru Outback Wagon

Hello, My 2002 Subaru Outback Wagon has a spare tire well that is too small to accommodate a full size tire. Could one of your roof racks be used to safely carry a full size spare tire? Thank you.

I think I have a solution that you are going to like. First, if your 2002 Subaru Outback wagon has a factory installed roof rack with crossbars that run side to side, you can use the Yakima LoadWarrior, # Y07070, and then add the spare tire carrier, # Y07076. The carrier will secure the tire in the basket. The tire can be up to 35 inches in diameter.

If you would rather go with a cargo box I would need to know the diameter of the tire and if your Outback has just side rails that run front to back or also the factory crossbars that run side to side.
