Recommended Tow Bar, Baseplate and Brake System for a 2015 Jeep Wrangler for Flat Towing  

Question:

Im getting aftermarket WARN Elite Series Front Bumper with Grille Guard for my 2015 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Can you tell me the best tow base plate set up that will not interfer with off-roading, and recommend which tow bar and installed brake system to get? I was looking at the Road Master Falcon All Terrain tow bar with the InvisiBrake set-up but wound consider Blue Ox products too. I cant tell if the Blue Ox tow bars have the same type of All Terrain not level for connection capability to compare and dont see an built in Toadinch brake system from them. I dont want a portable braking system. Thanks!

At this time we don't offer base plates that would work with aftermarket front bumpers on your 2015 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. I am happy to recommend the Roadmaster # RM-521448-5 and # RM-521448-4 that works with factory installed front bumpers.

The tow bar I recommend is the Roadmaster Falcon all terrain # RM-522 because it has the hassle free Freedom Latch which allows quick disconnect from your towed vehicle. In addition, I recommend a Roadmaster safety cable # RM-643. It's an extra fail safe in the event your tow bars became disconnected. The wiring you will need is # RM-155 as it will use your towed vehicle signal lights without tapping into its wiring. Tow bar manufacturers like Roadmaster and Blue Ox both have options that are more all-terrain oriented.

The Roadmaster InvisiBrake brake system # RM-8700 is the one I would recommend because it gives you real time braking in your towed vehicle. Another solid option I recommend is the SMI Stay-And-Play # SM99251 because it has automatic proportional braking. Whether you lightly tap the brakes in your towing vehicle or apply them hard in a panic situation, your towed car's brakes will be applied proportionately.
