How To Install a Tekonsha Prodigy Proportional Brake Controller on a 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser
Question:
Hi, I am looking for a wiring adaptor that would plug into my current Tekonsha prodigy brake controller, to the plug in under the dash of my 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser. By chance do you sell the wiring adaptor if so could you email me the part or id number so i can look at it on your website. Thank you....

There is no custom wiring for the FJ Cruiser that plugs in under the dashboard for a brake controller. To install a brake controller you would need to run wires from the 7-way connector. If you have no wiring on the vehicle now we recommend the appropriate flat four pole harness part # 118248 for an FJ with tow package or part # 118405 for an FJ without tow package.
Once you have the 4-Way in operation, you can convert it to a 7-Way using part # ETBC7. You will then attach the red wire from the controller to the stop light circuit in the FJ. You would run the blue wire from the brake controller back to the blue wire on the 7-Way. You would run the black wire from the controller to the battery for 12V power, make sure to put a 30 amp breaker in-line. And finally you would run the white wire from the brake controller to a suitable grounding point.
