How to Install a Brake Controller in a 2006 Ram 1500 V6 with 4-Way
Question:
I want to install a 7 pin trailer hook up and a brake controller, I have a factory 4 pin now. While researching the parts that I would need, I have looked at your video about plugging the brake controller harness in under the dash but when I looked at mine there is not a blue plug like in your video. What would you recommend is the best way to go about completing this install? What parts do I need to make it as simple as possible?

Since you have a factory 4-way on your 2006 Dodge Ram you will not have the brake controller port under you dash. Instead you will need to hardwire in a brake controller.
For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller. For that you will want the Brake Controller Install Kit and 7-Way Adapter part # ETBC7. I attached installation instructions and an install video for this product as well.
