Ply Rating for the Karrier ST205/75R14 Radial Trailer Tire # AM10235
Question:
Is the AM10235 a 8 ply tire tread or is it a 6 ply tire tread with a 2 ply side wall and you call it an 8 ply tire ????

This tire has 7 actual plies. The tread has 5 plies (2 polyester, 2 steel, 1 nylon), Sidewall has 2 plies (2 polyester).
The ply count does not actually matter. You want to go by the load capacity of a tire. For # AM10235the capacity is 2,040 pounds at 65 psi. Trailer tires must always be inflated to the maximum psi as indicated on the tire for best performance and longest life. I have included a link to our trailer tire FAQ article for you.
