Recommendations to Help Prevent a 1965 Lincoln Continental From Overheating at Idle

Question:

the car I have is 1965 Lincoln continental it overheats when it stays idle for long time, but when I drive it doesnt overheat. I installed electric fan 16inch in the front on condenser so there would be continuous air flow, now its better but still it overheats, well earlier in 15 minutes it overheated, now it takes 40 mins. When AC on it overheats faster. I checked the radiator and it was ok. No leaks nothing. I removed the thermostats. Temperature here approx 120F Can you tell me is it better to install two fans in the front !! Or install 4 rows aluminum radiator?

Going to a larger aluminum radiator will drastically help your 1965 Lincoln Continental stay cool.

If you wanted to try a different fan setup I would recommend you get rid of the mechanical fan you have that pulls air through the radiator and go with an electric fan setup with a shroud like the # D16826. This will pull a ton more air through your radiator than a mechanical fan at idle so it should work very well for you.

Fans that pull air through the radiator are much more efficient than fans that push.
