Installing 4-Pole Harness # 119250KIT on 2012 Mercedes-Benz E 350 Wagon
Question:
The instruction sheet is helpful... but it requires that I know what my vehicle code is. Specifically, it states See catalog or website for vehicle code definitions and further information. It then lists several vehicle codes, including: A, AE, AP, B, BE, BP Can you confirm which of these codes applies to our 2012 Mercedes E350 Wagon? Thanks!

Tekonsha has determined that the # 119250KIT is compatible with the 2012 Mercedes-Benz E350. This harness connects without cutting and splicing your current wiring.
If you wish, you can use a circuit tester like # PTW2992, and probe the wiring harnesses feeding the taillight assemblies while a helper activates each lighting function. This will help you determine which function each wire carries. Most likely, it's a BM1 or a BM2, but you'll need to confirm that for yourself. This being said, the wiring systems of late-model German vehicles are VERY sophisticated and complex (not to mention VERY expensive to repair), unless you are very good with automotive wiring, I'd suggest having the dealer install a trailer connector for you.
