Can you tell me specifically what the problem is, exactly what isn't working? I see you had ordered the Curt # C59236. Let's start by using a circuit tester like part # PTW2992 on the pins of the trailer connector as each lighting function is activated. Turn on the left turn signal, and test the pin fed by the yellow wire, the tester should blink. This pin should also make the tester light up when the brake pedal is pressed. The pin fed by the green wire should blink with the right turn signal activated and when the brake is pressed. The pin fed by the brown wire should light the tester with the running lights on. If you're not getting voltage on the tester with some or all of these functions, check the connections where the converter is plugged into the vehicle wiring. Make sure the plugs are fully inserted, until they click into place. Make sure the ground wire is secure. Check the power wire that you ran to the vehicle battery and ensure that it is securely connected to the positive battery terminal and that the inline fuse in that circuit is in place and not blown.
If that all checks out, test the wires going INTO the converter box from the connections with the vehicle wiring. Test the yellow wire with the left turn signal, green with the right, brown with the running lamp and both green and yellow should show signal with the brake pedal. If you're getting signal on the input side of the converter but not the output side, the converter is bad and should be replaced. If you get no power on the input side, and the plugs are fully plugged into the vehicle wiring until the connectors click, then the connectors are faulty, and the trailer wiring harness should be replaced.
If you follow the steps listed above, we can quickly determine where the problem lies. Please check the above and let me know what you find.
