Larger Tire Recommendation for a Horse Trailer to Gain Ground Clearance
Question:
Ok I have a 2 horse trailer with a dressing room. Only haul one 1,100lb horse. My questions is: The clearance from axles to ground is only about 6-8in Between tires is lower than everywhere else and my tire has ALOT of fender room. Can I put a larger wheel radius and tire on them to get more clearance? Picture attached. Thank you! Using a F150 to tow the trailer if that helps.

It looks like you would have enough fender clearance to upgrade to a different size tire. Without knowing what size you have it would be hard for me to make a recommendation. But if you check out the link I attached to the right you will see a chart with all of the sizes we of and in the far right column the overall diameter of the tires are listed.
If you go with a substantially larger tire you may also need to get a ball mount with less drop to allow your trailer to sit level. I attached an FAQ article on picking out the correct rise/drop ball mount for you to check out as well.
