Tire Chain Recommendation for 2012 Dodge Ram 3500 HD

Question:

Lost my owners manual, local dealer has no clue. I heavy haul thru Denver to Rifle, Co. once sometimes twice a month. If you could help me in determining where I can purchase and if cable vs chain is better.

I pulled up the owners manual for your 2012 Dodge Ram 3500HD and they recommend the use of Class U chains. Which means ones that will work with 23 mm of clearance.

Based on the part # PWH2828SC that you referenced I have a pretty good idea what your tire size is since it looked like you ran your vehicle through our tire chain fit guide.

For a chain the same size that would give you enough clearance that I think you would like I would recommend the Thule Tire Chains # TH01594267. Since you plan on using the chains frequently you will want something that will install easily and will last a while. These chains are one of the easiest sets to install that don't cost a small fortune plus they have a 5 year warranty.
