Recommended Bike Rack for Carrying Sun EZ-1 SX Recumbent Bike on a 2008 Subaru Impreza
Question:
I have a Subaru 2008 Impreza 5 door. I also have a Sun EZ-1 SX Cricket that I wish to get a bike rack for. Which bike rack to you recommend?

Although the Swagman Trailhead you referenced is one of the bike racks I recommend most, it wouldn't work well for a recumbent bike like your Sun EZ-1 SX. In fact our racks that are designed for recumbent bikes like the # SA4412B-R and the # S64650-EXT, will only accommodate bikes with weights up to 35 pounds on a class I hitch like those available for your Imprezza. My research shows that your Sun EZ-1 SX weighs more than 35 pounds, so these will not work for you.
Instead of a bike rack, I recommend a small utility trailer like the Detail K2 # K2MMT4X6 or K2MMT5X7. This would allow you to carry both bikes.
If you don't already have a hitch, I'd recommend the Draw-Tite Class I hitch, part # DT24959 assuming that your Impreza has a single exhaust. I'll link you to an install video showing the hitch being installed on a 2009 Impreza, as well as installation instruction links for the bike rack and the hitch.
