Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller Installation in 2013 Chevrolet Suburban
Question:
I have a 2013 Suburban and a Prodigy P2 Brake Controller. Can I use the Tekonsha 3015-P to make the connection? If not what do I need?

Expert Reply:
Your 2013 Suburban does not have a quick-connect brake controller port under the dash so your P2 # 90885 installation will be a hard-wire process. GM stopped including the port but does run the wires to allow you to connect your brake controller. The linked article includes the step-by-step instructions along with color photos to show you how to wire your Prodigy. A video is also included for reference.
Under the left side of the instrument panel to the left of the steering column you will find 4 or 5 blunt cut wires. These will connect to the pigtail leads supplied with the P2, as follows:
Truck Red/Black connects to Black
Truck White connects to White
Truck Light Blue/White connects to Red
Truck Dark Blue connects to Blue
Additional connections within the engine compartment may also be needed and these too are detailed in the linked article.
