Location of Brake Controller Connection Port on 2004 Ford Explorer with Tow Package
Question:
Hi. I have a 2004 Explorer with towing package and 7-way on rear. I cannot seem to locate the plug in for the controller. I have looked behind the glove box as well as under the dash near the pedals, but I cannot seem to find it.

Your 2004 Ford Explorer with factory tow package and 7-way socket will have a quick-connect port for a brake controller behind the glove box, as you noted. It is quite possible the wiring and connector could be taped to another harness and/or tucked out of plain sight. It may take some doing to find it, but that is where it should be.
We unfortunately don't have a video of the Primus IQ # TK90160 being installed on a 2004 Explorer with the wiring adapter # 3035-P otherwise I'd be able to add a photo showing right where it's at.
