Where do the Wires of a Trailer Break Away System Install Onto
Question:
So when the diagram says electric Break is that the break lights which is the same as the turn signals? or the electric trailer brake controller/ hand brake line? Not sure if I have a 12-volt auxiliary power lead... : What would that go to? Parking lights/clearance lights? All the turn, break and clearance lights are working, electric trailer brakes are working. I am not to sure about these terms to hook up the Trailer Break Away System.

In the diagram that you referenced, that I also attached here, the brake output circuit is a separate circuit that carries power to the trailer brakes totally separate from the brake light circuits.
Also, the 12 volt power source is a separate circuit from the running lights circuit.
If you have a 7-way trailer connector you will have these circuits. To see where the pins are on typical 7-way check out the picture I attached.
I also attached an FAQ article on trailer wiring for you to check out as well.
