Having Trouble Fishing Carriage Bolt and Block Through Frame with Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch #C11041
Question:
We still have not been able to get the hitch installed yet. Everyones TRYING to get the bolt-bracket fished through the factory hole near the exhaust as the video shows.. No ones been able to do this so far. Looks real EASY on the video you show-Upsetting for sure! HELP.. THANK YOU

Sometimes it is necessary to enlarge the access holes to fish the block and carriage bolt through the frame, which may be the case for your Mustang. We usually use a file or a rotary tool to enlarge the opening. Keep in mind the block goes on the fishwire before the carriage bolt is threaded on. Also, be sure you are using the smaller block with the square hole, not the larger block with the round hole. Our installers are very experienced with the fishwire technique, so it will seem easier when they perform the installation.
If you could send me a few pictures of what is causing the problem, I can try to give you a more specific recommendation.
I included an install video of a draw-tite hitch that has an identical installation as the Curt # C11041. I hope this helps.
