In order for the Advantage SportsRack cargo bag # HE3021 to fit on your 2010 Mercury Mariner you will need to have crossbars that run side to side on the roof that are spaced more than 38 inches apart on center.

If your Mariner does not have crossbars then I recommend the Rightline cargo bag # RL100S20. It will attach with or without a roof rack.

For any bag I also recommend protective pad # RL100650 to not only protect the vehicle roof but to also help keep the bag in place while driving. Either bag would not be too large to fit the roof of the vehicle but could be longer than the crossbar spread, if equipped. It is permissible for the bag or part of it to sit on the bars.
