Replacement U-Bolts for CE Smith Post-Style Guide-Ons with LED Lights for Boat Trailers
Question:
I had side guides CE27740 put on my boat trailer last Thursday. While showing the boat at an antique boat show on Saturday, an elderly man hit my trailer and broke a tail light already found a replacement on your website and bent one pair of u-bolts on the newly installed side guide the guide is OK. I am looking for a replacement set of u-bolts the 5 inch not the 6 inch but cannot find it without having to buy a whole kit with extra parts that I do not need. Can you help me, please?

Expert Reply:
U-bolt kit # CE11416 would be the one that you need. But like you said the u-bolts are slightly longer than the originals. If you need to have the shorter ones then you would need the kit, # CE11452-A. It might not be a bad idea to replace the brackets too. If there was enough damage to require new u-bolts then there could be unseen damage to the brackets as well.
