Towing a 5th Wheel Trailer with Gooseneck Hitch in a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab
Question:
I have 2006 dodge 2500 mega cab with a b/w 2 5/16 ball what do I need to pull a 2001 coachman prosper a 35.8 camper. I dont want to install a fifth wheel in my truck because we have all gooseneck trailers ane this pickup is usually hooked to one

Expert Reply:
Since you have a B&W gooseneck trailer hitch in your 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 you can use the B&W Companion hitch, # BWRVK3400-5W. This will fit into the ball cavity of the hitch so that you can swap between the 5th wheel hitch and the gooseneck hitch as needed. No other parts or hardware is required.
The other option is to use the Anderson Ranch Hitch, # AM3100. I have linked video reviews of both parts for you.
