Where to Put Blind Spot/Hot Spot Mirrors on 2014 Toyota Highlander OEM Mirrors
Question:
When adding a wedge mirror to a Toyota Highlander with blind spot monitor feature, is there any spot on the mirror that should not be covered by the wedge, other than the alert light? I like to have visual contact with cars in addition to the blind spot monitor.

Helpful Expert Reply:
Generally blind spot mirrors should be placed in the upper or lower outside corners of the main mirror surfaces. This location tends to minimize the interference with the main central portion of the OEM mirror surface and it also tends to increase the blind spot mirrors' capture of images at the edge of your vision range, which is where you want the help.
