Are There DOT Regulations on the Pull Pin Lanyard of a Breakaway System
Question:
Is there any dot regulations on cable, and if so what specifically are they?

That we or Tekonsha are aware of there aren't any restrictions on the cable used on breakaway system. Typically in towing situations the restrictions aren't that specific. They will say you need a breakaway system that functions, but they won't get down into the materials used of the system in question.
