There are several different ways to go to tow a fifth wheel using a vehicle with a gooseneck hitch.

You could use the Convert-A-Ball # CAB-C5G adapter that you referenced. If you choose this route, be aware that such adapters can be rough on the frame of the 5th wheel and that using an adapter can have warranty implications if used on certain fifth wheels.

Another option would be to use a different sort of adapter like # C16210. This adapter would mount to a Curt Double Lock or Flip and Store Gooseneck hitch. The adapter provides rails that would allow you to mount a fifth wheel hitch that uses industry standard fifth wheel rails. The hitch you need will depend on the length of your truck bed and the weight of your fifth wheel. If you'd care to reply with this information, I'd be happy to make some suggestions for you. This sort of arrangement would not have any warranty implications for the fifth wheel frame.

Reese makes the air-ride Goosebox that would replace the current pin box, but it's only compatible with certain OEM pin boxes. If you have the Lippert 0719, 1621 and 1621HD or the Fabex PB-600 Series, you'd use # RP85FR.

If you have the Lippert 0115, 1116 and 1716 use # RP94716-61301.

This isn't an inexpensive option, but it would provide the best ride and would cause the least amount of stress to the frame of your fifth wheel. Lippert, who manufactures many of the fifth wheel frames, endorses the Goosebox.
