Question:
I have a 2000 tacoma with a t-one harness, it has worked fine for years now all the sudden I have no power at the yellow wire the only thing i can figure is the box is faulty. Is there any thing I can do besides buying a new t-one kit?

You can start by troubleshooting the converter. Use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 and test the yellow wire on the input side of the converter while the left turn signal is activated. If you have power on this wire going into but not out of the converter, it has shorted out and unfortunately must be replaced. Before replacing it, you will want to carefully examine that left turn circuit on the trailer to find out if there are any wiring issues that might have caused the short. Start at the trailer connector and look for pinch points or any cracks or worn spots in the wire insulation that would cause the copper conductor to contact the trailer frame or other metal and short out.
