Parts Needed to Install a Brake Controller in a 2012 Acura ZDX

Question:

Will this harness, part # C56108, also interface with and control electric braking on a single axle trailer? Application is a 2012 Acura ZDX.

The Curt Wiring harness part # C56108 that you referenced is needed to install and use a brake controller on your 2012 Acura ZDX, but there is one more component needed.

You will also need a part number # ETBC7. The Curt harness will control the taillights of your trailer as it is a 4-way. But to install a brake controller you will need a 7-way as well. The # ETBC7 will use the trailer lighting signals from the Curt harness and then also give you the ability to install a brake controller. Check out the install video and instructions I attached.

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.
