Fit of Swagaman Trailhead # S63360 Bike Rack on 2013 VW Eos Hardtop Convertible
Question:
Good Morning: I own a 2012 VW EOS hardback convertible. Will the Swagman Trailhead 2 Bike Rack for 1-1/4inch and 2inch Hitches - Tilting fit on the 1 and 1/4 inch receiver I use to trailer my boat? Is mounting this rack a matter of using a few wrenches and common sense or is it something a less than average handyman like myself can install.

Since you already have a hitch, you can quickly determine if the Swagman Trailhead would be compatible with your VW Eos. You'll need to find the distance between the hitch pin hole in the receiver and the furthest rearward point of the back bumper. I've linked you to an FAQ article that shows exactly how to do this.. If this distance is less than 11 inches (which it certainly should be), the Swagman Trailhead # S63360 would be an outstanding choice for you.
As far as tools for installation, you'll need one wrench to snug up the anti rattle hitch pin. A locking hitch pin/cable lock is available, part # S64031. I've linked you to product videos for the bike rack and the locking hitch pin/cable lock combo.
