How to Make Trailer Wiring Harness Easier to Unplug From Trailer
Question:
The wiring harness you sent me seems to work fine, but the harness plug to my trailer plug is extremely tight. I took me 20 minutes to get it partially in to test the circuits. Is there anything I can do to make it reasonably easy? I did use contact cleaner, but it seems to be the plastic surrounding the contacts that prohibits easy installation. Thank you

I'd recommend using some dielectric grease, like part # 11755. Not only will the grease prohibit moisture from entering the connections and protect them from corrosion, it will make the connection easier to plug together or to separate.
