Long Trailer Coupler Recommendation for a Trailer with 3 inch Channel Frame
Question:
I currently have a 3x3 short tongue with a trashed coupler welded to it. I Was curious if they make a new bolt on coupler to go over the old coupler which would be 3 1/8 inner diameter box after I cut the ball end off? Or possibly a overall longer bolt on coupler with standard 3in id. opening? this tongue is too short as it is,and the only repair I will be doing is at the coupler end. Thank you

The biggest frame channel we offer couplers for is 3 inch. What I would recommend is the Bulldog Collar-Lok Coupler # BD028462 as this coupler is pretty long and would add some length to the tongue of your trailer. The overall length of this coupler is 16-1/2 inches.
