Fifth Wheel Hitch for 2013 Ford SuperDuty w/ Factory Tow/Prep Package
Question:
I have a 2103 Ford Super Duty 4X4 looking for a good quality 5th Wheel Hitch to mount to the Ford 5th wheel pr-rigged 8ft ft bed. Would like to be able to take out the hitch out easily to use the bed. Trailer weights 16K dry.

If your truck is equipped with the factory tow prep package, you'll have the four pucks inset into your truck bed. With the pucks, you can directly install a fifth wheel hitch like the # RP30921 into the pucks. Another alternative would be to use the # RP30156 adapter. Once in place, the # RP30156 adapter would provide rails that would allow you to install any fifth wheel hitch that uses industry standard fifth wheel rails, such as the # RP30928.
If I've misunderstood you, and your truck isn't equipped with the factory tow/prep package, you can install the underbed rail kit, part # RP30126. From that point, you can use the hitch mentioned above, or use the # RP30156 adapter and use the hitch of your choice. If you don't already have the 7-way trailer connector installed in your truck bed, you can install one using part # 41157.
The nice thing about the puck system is that once the hitch is removed, there's no rails remaining so you'll have full use of the bed.
