Tow Bar Wiring Recommendation for a 1999 Suzuki Grand Vitara

To connect a 4-pole connector from my motorhome to towed 1999 Suzuki Grand Vitara, where is the handiest splicing point on the Vitara wiring harness, please?

To install tow bar wiring in your 1999 Suzuki Grand Vitara you would want to use a diode kit like our part # RM-154. The easiest way to access the taillight wiring will be by removing the taillight assemblies from the vehicle.

You will need to determine if the Vitara's taillights are combined, meaning the turn signals are on the same bulb as the brake lights or separate, meaning they are on separate bulbs.

I attached a set of installation instructions for either setup to the right for you to check out.

Using a standard trailer wiring harness like the part # C55372 would not work as this is for a trailer being towed by the Vitara, not the Vitara being towed by an RV. Harnesses like this do not work both ways.
