Thule Pulse Roof Mounted Cargo Box Recommendations For a 2014 Audi Q5

I have a 2014 Audi Q5 and Im debating between the Thule Pulse L and the Pulse XL. Which do you recommend for my vehicle? Ill mostly be transporting small baby items and camping gear but I would like the largest roof box that will fit my vehicle. Thanks!

In order to find out if a cargo box will fit and if it will allow you to open the rear hatch on your 2014 Audi Q5, you can take a couple of measurements.

You need to determine the 'front clearance' on your Q5 by measuring from the center of the front crossbar back to the point where the roof meets the hatch. If you rcrossbars can be adjusted and moved forward on the vehicle roof, that will increase the number of boxes that will fit with no hatch interference.

I have attached a document that shows where you measure on your vehicle and the roof rack requirements for Thule cargo boxes.

If you have at least 46-3/8 inches front clearance, the Thule Pulse L Rooftop Cargo Box, part # TH615, will work fine for you. This has 16 cu ft of space and it also includes 2 locks and has a weight capacity of 110 lbs.

If you do not have enough front clearance for the Pulse L, the Thule Pulse Medium Cargo Box, part # TH614, only requires 42-5/8 inches front clearance. I have attached a link to a product review video you can check out.
