Will Old Reese Multi-Fit Trailer Hitch Fit a 2010 Toyota Sienna or is a Custom Hitch Required
Question:
Can 37042 Reese hitch be modified to be used for 2010 Toyota Siena minivan?

Expert Reply:
Reese trailer hitch 37042 is an obsolete multi-fit hitch that was designed to be able to fit numerous vehicles. However it will not fit your 2010 Toyota Sienna. Modifying the trailer hitch could result in weakening the hitch making in unsafe for use. For safety and the easiest installation you will want to install a custom fit trailer hitch.
For your 2010 Toyota Sienna the most popular hitch is Curt trailer hitch # C13105. This is a Class III hitch with a 2 inch receiver. It is rated for 350 pounds tongue weight and 3500 pound gross trailer weight. I have included a link to a video showing how the hitch installs.
If you plan on doing any towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # EBMK4. It comes with a ball mount, interchangeable ball set, a hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. And to add a 4-Way trailer wiring harness use # 118304. I have linked a video showing how the wiring installs as well.
