Trailer Wiring Harness for 1999 Chrysler Cirrus
Question:
Im trying to get a trailer wiring harness for my sons 1999 Chrysler Cirrus. Your Code: C56175 states A converter is required.inch What does that entail? Do you also sell the converter? How much? Your Code: 119178KIT shows that it comes with a converter. Is this a better way to go? I would like this to be as easy as it can be, for the installation. Please advise.

We offer two universal-fit trailer wiring harnesses for your son's 1999 Cirrus; both can be seen on the link provided. These two harnesses that you referenced, the Curt # C56175 and the Tow Ready # 119178KIT, both do include a converter. This simply means that the harnesses adapt a 3 wire system on the towing Chrysler Cirrus to a 2 wire system on the trailer.
I suggest the Curt harness # C56175 since it offers slightly higher current capacity and is the lower-priced option. The linked installation video for the TowReady harness will show you the installation process which is the same for both harnesses. If the Cirrus has LED lights then the Tow Ready will be a better option.
If you run into any issues after installation the linked article on troubleshooting trailer wiring will be helpful.
