5th Wheel Bracket Kit for 2014 Ford F-150 for Use With Pro Eagle 5th Wheel Hitch

Question:

I have a ˜2001 Pro Eagle 5th wheel hitch I removed from my Dodge pickup and want to mount it in my new F-150. The local RV shop wasnt very helpful. The original hitch came with universal frame brackets and I am wondering if this part is likely to work to replace them as the original installer torch cut them. The hitch rails are 43inch wide on 22inch centers. If this is unlikely to work, do you sell just the universal frame brackets without rails? By the way, when I try to verify this would work on my 2014 F-150, your website redirects me to complete hitch packages which is NOT what Im interested in.

Universal 5th wheel base rail install kits will fit a wide range of vehicles but since yours were torch cut I would not attempt to re-use them. You also do not want to re-use any installation hardware.

I did not find specifics about your 2001 Pro Eagle 5th wheel hitch but if this unit uses industry-standard base rails you should be able to install it on a new set of rails. We do not recommend mixing brands of base rails and installation brackest; we have seen some fit/compatibility issues when one brand of base rail is matched to under-bed brackets from a different maker. You will be better off replacing the rails when you choose a new installation kit to ensure they will work together and be of the same capacity.

You can use Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit # C16441-204, which includes base rails, brackets and all required hardware, along with any compatible industry-standard 5th wheel hitch.
