You will need to measure to determine how long the fifth-wheel to gooseneck adapter will need to be.

Park your fifth-wheel trailer on a fairly level surface. Back your vehicle under the fifth-wheel trailer stopping when the center of the king pin is directly above the gooseneck hitch ball, measure from the top of the gooseneck ball on the truck to the base of the pin box on the trailer. This will give you the measurement needed to select an adapter.

The adapters we offer range between 12 and 16 inches. I have listed some examples below for you.

Ranch Hitch Universal 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Coupler Adapter, item # AM3100
Fifth Wheel to Gooseneck Cushioned Trailer Adapter, item # CAB-C5G

If you need an offset for a short bed truck then you will need to measure the width of the fifth-wheel trailer and divide that number in half. Next measure the distance from the cab to the center of the gooseneck ball. If this distance is at least 6 inches longer than half of the trailer then you will have clearance if not we have an 8 inch offset adapter, item # AM3139, that should work for you.
