Recommendation for Changing Incandescent Tail Lights to LED on a 1995 Trailer

Question:

Would like to install LED tail, stop, turn bulbs in my existing 1995 rv tail lite housings.presently takes a 1157 bulb but they mount parallel to the trlr back wall so only a candalabra style LED will be able to shine thru the housing..I am finding that style bulb has its contacts rotated 90 degrees from the contacts in the bulb housing so when the bulb tits are intalled in the bulb housing they wont work..looking at the bulb base I cant find that style bulb with the bulb tits in a straight line of the bulb contacts so when the bulb is rotated into the socket the 2 bulb contacts properly seat against the bulb holder contacts..got a solution?

All of our 1157 bulbs, LED or incandescent, have retaining tabs that are rotated 90 degrees from the contacts. We do not offer any bulbs where the contact and tabs are inline with each other.

My recommendation would be to replace your tail lights with LED tail lights like part # RVSTL60 (right hand) and # RVSTL61 (left hand). These are fairly inexpensive LED tail lights that provide brake light, turn signal and tail light and license plate light functions.
