Can Reese Ball Mount Step be Used with Weight Distribution on a 2003 Dodge Ram
Question:
I just purchased the Reese Weight Distribution System 66542 with the Reese Shank 54970 and the Dual Cam Sway Control 26002. The question is whether I can also attach a Reese Hitch Step 7060200? The clearance looks fine but the problem may be side clearance in tight turns. I have a 2003 Dodge Ram 3500 and am towing a 2010 Carson 22foot Toy Hauler RV. The step would be very handy but I cant try it without installing it first and if it doesnt have enough side clearance I wont be able to take it back after installing it.

Clearance when turning would likely be a problem with Reese Step # RP7060200. Also, it is not really meant for use on weight distribution systems. For a convenient step that will fit a 2003 Dodge Ram regular or quad cab you can use # B75304. It is spring loaded so it can be tucked away when not in use
