Tekonsha Brake Controller Installation Harness Recommendation for a 2001 GMC Yukon XL
Question:
what is the correct harness for my 2001 gmc yukon xl 2500 w/ factory tow package i bought a tekonsha controller dealer sold me a #3015 p box said its for a 03 to 07 gm brakes do not work unless lights are on then they are on all the time thanks for your help

For your 2001 GMC Yukon XL the correct brake controller harness would be the brake controller harness part # 3025-P. However, the # 3015-P harness that you referenced could be modified to work for you. It would require you moving the red wire to the opposite corner of the connector. You will need to press up on the release tab of the connector that holds the pin to the connector and the wire will pull out from the back of the connector. All you would need to do is insert it into the back of the connector on the pin opposite and it will click into place.
