Helpful Expert Reply:

The recommended minimum distance between the top of the truck bed side rail and the underside of a fifth wheel trailer is 6 inches. This is usually enough clearance to allow for roll and pitch when driving on uneven roads, dips or hills, but there may be some towing setups that require more clearance.

If you think your trailer may hit your truck bed with it's current setup, then I recommend either raising the height of your fifth wheel hitch or lowering the pin box position on the trailer. These are the two easiest ways to get more truck bed to trailer clearance.
