How to Remove OEM Brake Controller and Install Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885 on 2011 Dodge Ram 1500
Question:
I have a 2011 Ram 1500 with a built in brake control, will this adapter work when I unplug the factory controller.

Helpful Expert Reply:
Once you unplug the ITBC (OEM brake controller) and plug in the Prodigy P2 # 90885 using the # 3021-P wiring adapter, the P2 should be operational. However, doing this will trigger a warning message on your instrument cluster, which won't affect how the trailer brakes work. If the presence of the message doesn't bother you, you can leave it as it is, and go on your way. If you want the message removed, you'll need to take a trip to the Dodge dealer to preform the procedure outlined in the Technical Bulletin I've linked you to.
I've provided a photo showing the location of the connector where the # 3021-P would plug in under the dash.
